What Would Winston Smoke?

Forever on a quest for the ultimate cigar, Fred packed his passport and ascots to head off to London for the annual Bonham's Gentleman's Library Sale. The reason? He was in hot pursuit of an exceptionally rare offering of pre-Castro smokes once owned by the poster boy for fine cigars himself, Sir Winston Churchill.

The collection included four Romeo y Julieta Cuban cigars given to Mr. Percy Bower, manager of the cigar department of the Army and Navy Stores that became Sir Winston's most trusted supplier, to mark the end of the World War II.

Upon inspection, Fred found the condition of the cigars to be superb, firm yet supple with great age appropriate aromatics. In their original box, the tremendous history and impeccable provenance of this lot captivated Fred.
