Combining an extensive background in fine art, antiques, and wine, Fred is a
man with many talents and interests. In 1988, his passion for wine led him to
the Napa Valley Wine Auction as a guest of Christie's auctioneer Brian Cole.
The event proved to be significant as it was the impetus for Fred to co-found
the now legendary Colgin-Schrader Cellars in 1992.
Following the success of Colgin-Schrader Cellars, Fred founded his namesake
wine brand, Schrader Cellars, in 1998 with the finest vineyard resources and
winemaking talents available. Today, Fred fulfills his passion for wine by
creating world-class wines from the country's most noble and historic vineyard
estates.
