Good things can begin in very interesting ways. Carol, or "Colesworthy" as everyone calls her, is a 20+ year veteran of the wine industry and enjoyed a successful career as a Creative Director for Chandon Estates, Franciscan Estates, and online retailer wine.com before joining forces with Fred Schrader.
After years on the corporate side, Colesworthy took the leap of faith and started her own design business, Creative Solutions, in 2001. On a referral from a local printer, Colesworthy contacted Schrader Cellars about their exciting new Zinfandel project. What a difference a phone call can make.
Within weeks, Colesworthy and Fred met to review design proofs for the Vieux-Os label and what started as a friendly spark grew into a dynamic partnership. Today, Colesworthy is the creative and marketing force behind the diverse brands of the Schrader Cellars portfolio.
A Southern California girl long before it became the OC, following graduation from U.C.L.A., Colesworthy came to the Napa Valley on a photography assignment and — click — in an instant, she was hooked on the wine country lifestyle and made St. Helena her new home. Today, she and Fred live in the heart of valley and enjoy the amazing beauty and opportunity it has to offer.
