2009 HARVEST
In 2009, our Cabernet Sauvignon grapes enjoyed a summer of mild, steady weather that carried through until October, when a pair of strong storms brought significant amounts of rain. In our commitment to achieving optimal ripeness and complexity, we elected to let our later ripening sections of grapes hang out though the rain storms. This proved to be a very good decision as the storms were followed by periods of classic Napa Valley weather with warm, dry days and cool nights. We harvested at leisure the spectacular, fully ripened clusters.
